Flood Warning, Flash Flood Warning

The Flood Warning continues for
the Fourche Lafave river near Houston.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:30 PM Monday the stage was 28.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 31.7 feet by
Thursday early afternoon.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet... State Highway 216 affected. Extensive acreage
near Harris Brake Lake and the wildlife management area are flooded.
* Impact... at 32.0 feet... roads around Harris Brake Lake are flooded.
Flooding extends from Arkansas River upstream of Harris Brake.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Arkansas River at Toad Suck lock and dam tailwater.
* From Tuesday evening until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Monday the stage was 271.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 275.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday late evening and
continue to rise to near 277.8 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impact at 277.0 feet... additional residences in Toad Suck community
are affected along the right descending bank near State Highway 60
bridge. Extensive farmlands along the river in Perry, Conway, and
Faulkner counties inundated.
* Impact... at 278.0 feet... Lollie community affected. Additional
farmlands in Faulkner County flooded by backwater up Palarm creek
and Tupelo bayou.

the Arkansas River at Morrilton.
* From this evening until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:15 PM Monday the stage was 30.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 37.8 feet by
Wednesday evening.
* Impacts at 34.0 feet... backwaters up point remove creek will
flood acres of cropland.
* Impact... at 38.0 feet... begin levee patrolling.

Faulkner County in central Arkansas...
Grant County in central Arkansas...
Hot Spring County in southwest Arkansas...

western Pulaski County in central Arkansas...

* until 330 am CDT Tuesday

* at 915 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
as much as 2 inches of rain has fallen in the warned area in the
past hour or so. This rain has fallen on top of soil that is
already saturated from recent rains.

Additional heavy rain is expected. Flash flooding is likely to
occur. While precipitation may taper off in some areas during the
warning period... it will take some time for any high water to
runoff.
