... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM PDT /7 PM MST/ this

* timing... winds increasing early morning... peaking during the late
morning and afternoon before subsiding early this evening.

* Winds... north 25 to 35 mph gusts 40 to 45 mph.

* Impacts... drivers of vans... campers... trailers... and other
high profile vehicles should be alert to the danger of these

Boaters in the Wind Advisory area should use extreme caution when
venturing onto area lakes. Strong winds over the open waters will
make the lake water rough and hazardous... and may result in high
waves which may tip or swamp smaller craft. For your personal
safety... avoid the open waters. Stay close to shore or around
protected areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means strong winds gusting over 40 mph can make
driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.

Fire Weather Warning

Statement as of 3:44 AM PDT on September 25, 2016

Expires 6:00 PM EDT on September 26, 2016

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 3 PM PDT Monday for
strong gusty winds and low humidities...

* winds... areas of northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
mph... becoming 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45. Isolated gusts to
55 mph along wind-prone coastal slopes today.

* Humidities... lowest of 6 to 10 percent today with poor overnight
recovery. Lowest of 10 to 20 percent on Monday.

* Outlook... gradual cooling with higher humidities and weaker
winds Tuesday into Wednesday.

* Impacts... any fires that start may exhibit extreme fire
behavior and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and heat will contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
