Areal Flood Advisory, Flash Flood Watch

Statement as of 5:06 PM MDT on July 29, 2014

Expires 8:00 PM EDT on July 30, 2014

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
western Kiowa County in southeast Colorado...

* until 800 PM MDT

* at 504 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms across most of western Kiowa County. This will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Haswell... Neegronda Reservoir... neeoshe Reservoir... Sweetwater
Reservoir... Arlington... Queens Reservoir and Blue Lake.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
