management have called for an ozone action day on Thursday... June
20th for the following Indiana counties...
Bartholomew and Jackson.
An ozone action day means that a combination of the high
temperatures... light winds and other factors are expected to
produce conditions where high levels of ozone emissions may exceed
federally mandated standards.
Here are some recommended actions that the public can take to reduce
ozone forming emissions.
Ride the bus instead of taking your car.
Car-pool with a friend or co-worker.
Reduce the amount of time spent in drive thru lanes.
Postpone filling or topping off your Gas Tank until after dark.
Put off mowing your lawn until after 600 PM.

1942 from Moran to Kokomo... a tornado struck which wound up
killing 4 people and injuring 150 more. The greatest damage
was in the Kokomo area.
1990 Decatur... lightning struck a house with such force that
it blew a plastic switch plate off a light switch and
embedded it in the opposite wall.
