The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northeastern Randolph County in north central Missouri...
northeastern Linn County in north central Missouri...
Macon County in north central Missouri...

* until 900 am CDT

* at 355 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. The storms are moving over the
same areas repeatedly. Doppler radar estimated between 2 and 4
inches of rain have fallen since 1 am. Flash flooding is expected
to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Macon... Bevier... Atlanta... Callao... New Cambria... Jacksonville...
Elmer... Ethel... Excello and New Boston.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

            Fb Post report of winds gusting about 50 mph from nearby
            dissipating storms. Noted a significant dewpoint drop to
            55 degrees... along with an increase in air temperature
            from 74 to 77 degrees. Daylight hours revealed several
            tree limbs approximately 3-5 inches in diameter down with
            one larger 6 inch diameter limb down that was about 20
            feet long. Also noted that no measurable rain was
            recorded at the time. Time estimated by radar.
