The Flood Warning continues for
the Big Creek at Blairstown.
* From this evening to Sunday morning.
* At 5:00 PM Thursday the stage was 18.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 22.8 feet by early Friday afternoon. The river will fall
below flood stage by late Saturday morning.
* At 20.0 feet... the West Bank of the creek begins to flood.

southwestern Saline County in central Missouri...

* until 1115 PM CDT

* at 517 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sedalia... Warrensburg... Knob Noster... Holden... Sweet Springs...
Whiteman Air Force Base... La Monte... Smithton... Leeton...
Green Ridge... Chilhowee... Kingsville... Houstonia... whiteman AFB...

thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory
resulting in standing water on area roads.

* Through Friday morning

* several rounds of thunderstorms are expected across eastern Kansas
and western Missouri through tomorrow morning. This additional
rainfall combined with the rain that has already fallen this week
could lead to flash flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

thunderstorm outflow producing strong winds along a line extending
from 6 miles east of Holden to Creighton to near Adrian... and moving
southeast at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these outflow winds.
