Douglas County in southwest Missouri...
northwestern Ozark County in southwest Missouri...
southeastern Webster County in southwest Missouri...
southern Stone County in southwest Missouri...
southern Texas County in south central Missouri...
southern Wright County in southwest Missouri...
Taney County in southwest Missouri...

* until 500 am CDT Wednesday.

* At 917 PM CDT... the Department of Transportation indicated ongoing
flooding continued of several roadways in the warned area.
Additional rainfall is expected tonight.

* Runoff from this rain is causing flooding. Creeks... streams and low
water crossings will be especially susceptible to the dangers of
flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

Webster County in southwest Missouri...

* until 500 am CDT Wednesday.

* At 445 PM CDT... the Department of Transportation indicated ongoing
flooding over several roadways within the warned area. Additional
rainfall is expected this evening and tonight.

* Runoff from this rain is causing flooding. Locations in the warning
include... Conway... Diggins... Fordland... Fort Leonard Wood...
Hartville... Lebanon... Licking... Marshfield... Niangua... Richland...
Rogersville... St. Robert and Waynesville. Creeks... streams and low
water crossings will be especially susceptible to the dangers of
flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...

Route zz at the Myers branch near Rader...
Route E north of Highway 38 at the Gasconade river...
Greenwood Road at the Pomme de Terre headwaters...
Route a just south of Marshfield...
Route j at Parks creek 2 miles east of Morgan.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It only takes a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.

southeastern Webster County in southwest Missouri...

* until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 335 PM CDT... the Department of Transportation indicated that
excessive rainfall from earlier today was producing flash flooding
across the warned area. Additional rainfall is expected this
evening and tonight.

* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to
occur. Locations in the warning include... Ava... Cabool... Houston...
Mansfield... Mountain Grove... Norwood... Raymondville and
Summersville. Creeks... streams and low water crossings will be
especially susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...

Route ff at Hunter Creek east of Ava...
Route ff at Turkey Creek east of Ava...
Route y at Cowskin Creek 3 miles west of Ava...
Route z at Finley creek 3 miles southeast of Fordland...
Route u at the Jacks Fork 2 miles northwest of Clear Springs.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri... including the
following areas... in southeast Kansas... Bourbon... Cherokee
and Crawford. In Missouri... Barry... Barton... Benton...
Camden... Cedar... Christian... Dade... Dallas... Dent... Douglas...
Greene... Hickory... Howell... Jasper... Laclede... Lawrence...
Maries... McDonald... Miller... Morgan... Newton... Oregon...
Ozark... Phelps... Polk... Pulaski... Shannon... St. Clair...
stone... Taney... Texas... Vernon... Webster and Wright.

* Through Wednesday evening

* showers will continue at times this evening resulting in light
to moderate rainfall. The coverage and intensity of showers and
thunderstorms with torrential rainfall will increase late
tonight into Wednesday morning. Additional rain will continue
through the day Wednesday.

Additional rainfall amounts through Wednesday of two and four
inches are expected... with locally higher amounts around 5
inches possible.

* This excessive rainfall will lead to flash flooding of
streams... flood prone areas... and low water crossings. Flooding
of larger rivers will also occur.

Areas that normally do not flood may experience flooding.

Areas that have already experienced flooding may see additional
flash flooding.

Those camping or floating along area streams and rivers should be
alert for rising water levels... and avoid flooded areas.

Rivers impacted by flooding include the Osage... Marmaton... Spring
... Elk... James... and Gasconade.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
