* until 215 am CDT

* at 1120 PM CDT... media reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain
and 1 to 3 inches of rain has fallen in a short time across the
warned area and flash flooding is expected.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Omaha... Council Bluffs... Bellevue... Papillion... La Vista...
Ralston... Gretna... valley... Springfield... Waterloo... Elkhorn...
Millard... Offutt AFB... Carter Lake... Bennington... Boys Town...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Sarpy County in east central Nebraska...

* until 200 am CDT

* at 1102 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Two to 3 inches or more of rain has fallen in the
advisory area. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bellevue... Papillion... La Vista... Gretna... Springfield...
Offutt AFB... KOA Campground...
Schramm park state Recreation Area and Chalco.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

At 1107 PM CDT... Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
along a line extending from 4 miles north of Red Oak to 7 miles east
of Union to 5 miles north of Hickman. Movement was east southeast at
40 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.
