The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the big Blue River near Crete.
* From this afternoon to late Monday night... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 4:45 am Thursday the stage was 16.3 feet... or 1.7 feet below
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to
rise to near 21.2 feet by tomorrow morning.The river will fall
below flood stage by late Monday morning.
* Impact... at 24.0 feet... parts of the Tuxedo Park area on the west
side of town north of State Highway 33 flood.

Boone... Burt... Butler... Cass... Colfax... Cuming... Dodge...
Douglas... Lancaster... Madison... Otoe... Pierce... Platte...
Saline... Sarpy... Saunders... Seward... Stanton... Thurston...
Washington and Wayne.

* Until noon CDT today

* thunderstorms... producing heavy rain at times... will continue
through the morning hours. The bulk of the rain should fall prior
to 9am.

* Heavy rain in excess of 1 to 2 inches an hour is possible this
morning. Much of the watch area should see 1 to 2 inch amounts
with locally higher amounts from 2 to 4 inches. As a
result... flash flooding will be possible through this morning...
especially in flood prone areas and near streams and rivers.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
