northwestern Gage County in southeastern Nebraska...
southwestern Lancaster County in southeastern Nebraska...

* until 645 PM CDT

* at 350 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Over two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Crete... Wilber... Clatonia... Hallam... Sprague...
Bluestem state Recreation Area...
Olive creek state Recreation Area and Walnut Creek Recreation Area.

This includes Highway 77 in Nebraska near milemarker 51.

* Through Friday morning

* thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected to focus near a
warm front along the Kansas Nebraska border this afternoon
into tonight. Several rounds of heavy rain are likely which
could lead to flash flooding and flooding of streams and
creeks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
