cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for
northeastern New Mexico.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for 430 PM
for Colfax County.

for northwestern Harding... northeastern Mora and southeastern Colfax
counties...

At 422 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southeast of
Springer, moving east at 30 mph.

Hazard... 70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to Mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Abbott and Mills.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
northeastern Mora County in northeastern New Mexico...
southwestern Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico...

* until 500 PM MDT.

* At 408 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles east of
Ocate, or 13 miles northwest of Wagon Mound, moving southeast at 15
mph.

Hazard... ping pong Ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... people and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Wagon Mound.

This includes Interstate 25 between mile markers 384 and 401.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from
windows.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

Jaroso, or 21 miles north of Questa, moving southeast at 10 mph.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Heavy rain and frequent and dangerous cloud to ground lightning will
also be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Costilla and Amalia.
