northeastern Champaign County in west central Ohio...
southeastern Logan County in west central Ohio...
northwestern Delaware County in central Ohio...
central Union County in central Ohio...

* until 815 PM EST.

* At 520 PM EST, radar indicated that thunderstorms had produced
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have
already fallen. Heavy rain continues to fall with another inch
possible. Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash
flooding to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Delaware, Marysville, North Lewisburg, Radnor, Ostrander, Magnetic
Springs, Raymond, Stratford, Bellepoint, Broadway, Warrensburg,
Pharisburg, Pottersburg, Somersville, Leonardsburg, Kilbourne, New
Dover and State Route 257 at US Route 36.

* At 504 PM EST, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain
moving across the advised area.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Delaware, Marysville, Sunbury, Richwood, North Lewisburg, Ashley,
Radnor, Galena, Ostrander, Magnetic Springs, Alum Creek State Park,
Raymond, Delaware State Park, Olive Green, Broadway, Warrensburg,
Pottersburg, Kennard, Kilbourne and Essex.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Ohio and west central Ohio, including the
following areas, in central Ohio, Delaware and Union OH. In
west central Ohio, Auglaize, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, and
Shelby.

* Until midnight EST tonight

* periods of showers and thunderstorms will continue through late
afternoon before beginning to taper off this evening. Additional
rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will be possible. Much of this
region has already received 2 to locally 3 inches of rain from
storms earlier today.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone
to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding
develop. Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings.
