* at 1037 am CDT... National Weather Service meteorologists detected
flooding caused by heavy rain from morning thunderstorms over the
warned area. Flooding is already occurring at several locations.

FM 1108 crossing Delaware River...
U.S. 62/180 at mile marker 9 about 7 southwest of Whites City...
low water crossing over 4 mile Arroyo at Lake Road 4 miles
northeast of Lakewood...
many locations along Whites City Road west of U.S. 62/180

* parts of Guadalupe Mountains National Park are closed due to
flooding and washed out roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

and upper trans Pecos... Scurry... Van Horn and Highway 54

* Through Saturday morning

* abundant moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Odile will
continue to move into the region. An additional 1 to 2 inches
of rain is possible in the watch area through tonight... with
isolated amounts of 3 to 5 inches.
