* Flash Flood Warning for...
Dallas County in north central Texas...
Denton County in north central Texas...
western Collin County in north central Texas...
Tarrant County in north central Texas...

* until 830 am CDT

* at 526 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain moving into the
warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen... and flash flooding is already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dallas... Fort Worth... Arlington... Plano... Garland... Irving... Grand
Prairie... Mesquite... McKinney... Carrollton... Frisco... Denton...
Richardson... Lewisville... Allen... Flower Mound... Mansfield...
Euless... DeSoto and Bedford.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Denton creek near Justin.
* At 0300 am Sunday the stage was 10.85 feet.
* Flood stage is 10 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to a crest near 14 feet
by Monday afternoon. The river should fall below flood stage
Thursday after midnight.
* At 10 feet, minor out of bank flooding will occur. A few rural
roads, along with farm and ranch lands near the creek, will begin
to flood.

* showers and thunderstorms will continue across much of North
Texas this weekend. The soil is already saturated... so any
additional heavy rainfall will cause flash flooding.

* Widespread rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected across a good
portion of North Texas... with localized higher amounts.
