* From this morning until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:45 am Saturday the stage was 27.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 30.8 feet by
Monday morning then begin falling.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sabine River near Gladewater.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:15 am Saturday the stage was 31.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 36.2 feet by
Thursday morning. Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 36.0 feet... expect moderate to severe flooding with some
secondary roadways near the river to be closed. Also homes will be
threatened with flooding and preparations should be completed for a
major flood.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 20.9 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow late
morning.

* At 7:15 am Saturday the stage was 13.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 15.8 feet by
Wednesday early afternoon then begin falling.

* Flood Warning for...
Harrison County in northeastern Texas...
Rusk County in northeastern Texas...
Panola County in northeastern Texas...
northwestern Shelby County in eastern Texas...
Gregg County in northeastern Texas...

* until 1130 am CDT Saturday

* at 528 am CDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that widespread rainfall amounts of three to in excess of six
inches has fallen across the warned area since Friday evening. The
light rain is expected to exit eastern Panola and northern Shelby
counties by 630 am... but numerous roads remain flooded and closed.
Runoff will continue through much of this morning... and flooding
will continue before gradually diminishing by midday.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Longview... Marshall... Henderson... Kilgore... Carthage... White Oak...
Gladewater... Hallsville... Overton... Waskom... Tatum... Tenaha... Timpson...
New London... Clarksville City... Beckville... Joaquin... Elysian Fields...
Woodlawn and Joinerville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

continue to rise to near 26.4 feet by Wednesday morning. Additional

... Public information statement...

The National Weather Service in Shreveport will be sending out
two survey teams today for the severe thunderstorms that occurred
on Friday... April 29th. The first team is heading to
Smith... wood... and Upshur counties in northeast Texas. The second
team is heading to Harrison County in northeast Texas and Caddo
Parish in northwest Louisiana.

Results of these storm surveys should be available later this
evening.
