... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 745 am CDT for
southwestern real... south central Edwards and northwestern Uvalde
counties...

At 530 am CDT... Doppler radar continued to indicate thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across northern portions of the warned
area... with the heaviest rains occurring over the headwaters of the
frio and dry frio rivers. Doppler radar estimated 4 to 6 inches of
rain has already fallen midway between Camp Wood and Leakey... or
near FM Road 337 and the dry Frio River... southward to near the
Uvalde County line. Life threatening flash flooding may already be
occurring near along the dry Frio River from FM Road 337 to 5 miles
northwest of Reagan Wells.

Some other locations that will experience flooding include...
Leakey... Camp Wood... Laguna... Vance... Montell... Reagan Wells... Tuff
and Barksdale.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of
unknown depth.

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* a portion of south central Texas... including the following
areas... Atascosa... Bandera... Bastrop... Bexar... blanco...
Burnet... Caldwell... Comal... De Witt... Dimmit... Edwards...
Fayette... frio... Gillespie... Gonzales... Guadalupe... Hays...
Karnes... Kendall... Kerr... Kinney... Lavaca... Lee... Llano...
Maverick... Medina... real... Travis... Uvalde... Val Verde...
Williamson... Wilson and Zavala.

* Through Sunday evening

* persistent thunderstorms capable of heavy rainfall are expected
to develop and slowly move through the area. Rainfall totals of
1-4 inches are expected... with isolated 6 inch amounts
possible.

* Due to the very moist conditions of the grounds and soils in
the area... rapid flash flooding of low water crossings and
some roadways will be possible where heavy rains develop. Area
rivers and streams are also elevated. Some of these rivers and
streams may reach their flood stages very quickly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means flash flooding is possible in or near
the watch area. If you are in the watch area... plan now for what
you will do if flash flooding develops. Stay informed and be
ready to act if you see flooding or if a Flash Flood Warning is
issued.

Do not drive into flooded roadways. The majority of flood related
fatalities occur in vehicles. If you see a flooded roadway...
remember... turn around... dont drown.
